Michigan Ballot Proposals

When Michigan voters head to the polls, whether on election day or at their dining room table (for those who vote absentee) there will be a lot on the ballot. In addition to selecting the state’s next Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and other elected officials, they’ll be asked to vote on two statewide ballot questions. Proposal 1 asks asking voters whether a constitutional convention should be convened to draft a revised state constitution. Proposal 2 prohibits campaign contributions from certain regulated utilities and contractors and amends Michigan's campaign finance laws. 

Michigan residents can learn more about these two proposals and their possible impacts through an upcoming webinar on October 14. This webinar, presented by MSU Extension and the Citizens Research Council of Michigan will feature presentations from experts on each of the proposals, and a chance for voters to ask questions to help inform their choices this November.
