A message from CANR Dean Ron Hendrick: May 10, 2021

CANR community,

I have accepted the position of Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at Texas Tech University, a post at which I will begin working on July 1, 2021.

It has been my absolute honor to work with you over the past five years. While Michigan State University has faced some challenging times these past five years, I do think that we – collectively and collaboratively – have been able to accomplish so much to improve our organization for its faculty, staff, students, alumni and stakeholders. 

I am confident that Provost Teresa Woodruff understands the impact our college has both on campus and around the state, as evidenced by her visits, both in person and virtually. She’s been unfailingly supportive of me and the college, and I know she’s committed to CANR’s continued success. You will hear from her shortly about an interim dean.

I am especially proud of the relationships that we have built with each other. Thank you for working so hard alongside me to achieve so much.
