This new MSU Extension bulletin shows cost breakdowns and provides estimated revenues and profits for fresh and processor peach production.
The Michigan Peach Cost of Production 2024 report is now available on the MSU Extension website, published as Bulletin E-3537. This report provides specific details on the costs of both fresh and processor peach production. An overview of the main results can be found in the Executive Summary.
For this study, costs and revenues were analyzed based on existing price information for the 2024 crop year. Tables are included in the report that break down the costs and revenues based on the different prices and yields that growers might experience in their different markets.
