National 4-H Council publishes 2013 annual impact report
Every year the National 4-H Council publishes its annual impact report entitled, The Power of 4-H and the Pledge to Build a Better World. This report highlights some of the outstanding programs happening on national and international level.
Every year the National 4-H Council publishes its annual impact report entitled, The Power of 4-H and the Pledge to Build a Better World. This report highlights some of the outstanding programs happening on national and international level. The report is available to the public online.
According to Michigan State University Extension, the report provides in closer account of the work 4-H youth development professional do worldwide. As an organization that serves youth and funded by federal, state and local dollars, as well as numerous donors both personal and corporate this report shares the good, and positive work 4-H is doing. 4-H is the world’s leading youth organization backed by the Cooperative Extension System in accordance with the land-grant university mission.
Some of the general highlights from this year’s report are:
- 4-H is embracing science and science-based careers in order to develop new solutions to today’s big issues.
- 4-H youth are four times more likely to give back to their communities.
- 4-H is teaching youth to be global citizens.
- 4-H is in more than 50 countries.

Telling the story and asking for volunteers to serve as 4-H leaders and mentors is how this organization will continue to be the world’s leader in youth development programs to build a better world.
