Michigan State University Extension is excited to announce the 5th annual Great Lakes Hop and Barley Conference will be Feb. 28 – March 2, 2019, at the Park Place Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Traverse City, Michigan. We will again hold a preconference for hop and barley beginner growers on Feb. 28 and separate advanced hop and barley tracks on March 1. March 2 will feature a dynamic general session including a presentation by world-renowned pioneer of cover cropping and soil microbial science George Bird of Michigan State University, a sensory training session with Roy Desrochers of Tufts University and afternoon tours of MI Local Hops and Great Lakes Malting Company.
The 2018 conference in Kalamazoo, Michigan, was a great success and a lot of fun, with hundreds of growers from around the Great Lakes region in attendance. We truly could not offer the same caliber of programming without the generous support of our partners and sponsors. Sponsor involvement with this event is vital to its success. The conference is also a key opportunity to position your organization in front of individuals who have an interest in the hop and barley industries.
We have built in a substantial amount of time for attendees to mix with vendors during the meeting day and sponsorship also offers advertising opportunities, complimentary registrations and more depending on the sponsorship level. The Michigan Brewers Guild is also hosting an evening reception in the vendor space on March 1.

General registration is not yet open, but please note that many sponsorship levels include complimentary registration.
