Ashley Freed
Ashley Freed is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H Program Coordinator in Luce County. She has worked in this capacity since December of 2021.
In this role, Ashley provides leadership and management of local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Luce County. She promotes and strengthens the Luce County 4-H program by developing programs and partnerships, promoting and evaluating 4-H programs, and recruiting and training volunteers. As the liaison from the state Michigan 4-H office she helps to ensure that statewide opportunities and information is available to local participants and their families. Ashley is a currently serving as a Level 2 Coordinator representative on the Michigan 4-H Shooting Sports Board, and holds the certifications of: Level 1 Archery Instructor, Level 1 Rifle Instructor, and Level 2 Coordinator. Ashley also hold a certification in Youth Mental Health First Aid and is an instructor for Teen Mental Health First Aid.
Prior to becoming the Luce County 4-H Program Coordinator, Ashley served 3 terms at the Luce County 4-H STEAM Corps AmeriCorps member.
