Astri is a master’s student in the Sustainable Tourism and Protected Area Management Program. Her current research focuses on community-based tourism development process in Bali. Previously, she worked as a researcher and urban and regional planner consultant, where she worked collaboratively across disciplines on local- or national-scale projects related to tourism, housing, transportation, climate change, and urban development control in Indonesia. She holds B. S. in Urban and Regional Planning from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia.
Astri is also a research assistant in the Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering (CMSE) department. Her project includes the CyberAmbassador, a professional skills training development program for CyberInfrastructure Professionals. In particular, she assists the program evaluation. In spare time, she likes singing, playing guitar, cooking, playing table tennis and chess, swimming, and traveling.
