Dr. Bethany Laursen is an integration & implementation specialist who received her MA in Philosophy and PhD in Community Sustainability from Michigan State University in Spring 2020. She previously received a BS in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry from Biola University, and an MS in Environment & Resources and Forestry from UW-Madison. After practicing as an interdisciplinary environmental scholar and educator for 10 years, she switched fields to study theories of interdisciplinarity itself. She is particularly interested in tools that enhance integrative reasoning in sustainability studies. In August 2020, Dr. Laursen became Assistant Dean for MSU's Graduate School where she stewards policy processes for graduate student success.
