Garrett is a master’s student in the Department of Community Sustainability. His focus is on water policy and water access in the State of Michigan, with a specific focus on drinking water. His research looks at trust within the tap water system and how trust differs between communities with Safe Drinking Water Act violations and those who have not experienced a water quality violation. Garrett earned his B.A. in Environmental Studies and Cultural Anthropology at Western Michigan University, and previously worked at a non-profit environmental education site in New England.
