Ian Sawyer is a District Support/Secretary III with MSU Extension, based in Ogemaw County.

Ian provides administrative support to two District Directors, serving across nine counties: District 4 (Alcona, Arenac, Crawford, Iosco, Ogemaw, Oscoda, and Roscommon) and District 11 North (Macomb and Oakland). She began her MSU Extension career in 2018 as a County Support in Ogemaw County, transitioned to the District 4 Support role in 2019, and expanded her responsibilities to include District 11 North in 2021.

Ian holds a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in leadership from Central Michigan University, earned in 2023. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University in 2016, where she studied French linguistics and Arabic.
