Dr. Jeta Rudi Polloshka is a fixed-term Assistant Professor of Food Marketing and Management in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics (AFRE). Prior to this appointment, she was Assistant Professor of Agribusiness at Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo. Dr. Rudi Polloshka earned her PhD in Applied Economics at the University of Minnesota, her MS is Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech, and her BA in Mathematics and Economics at Berea College.
Dr. Rudi Polloshka’s research is at the intersection of consumer food demand and agribusiness. She works on inter-disciplinary projects related to food choices, food safety, and the demand for specialty crops. She is passionate about translating academic research into actionable policies and programs and about integrating research into teaching. At MSU, Dr. Rudi Polloshka teaches food marketing and managerial economics classes, as well as a newly developed course on the economics and business aspects of food safety. Dr. Rudi Polloshka also leads multiple large and cross-institutional research and outreach projects, with an emphasis on providing research experience to undergraduate students.
