Nahid's academic background is mostly in applied economics. He completed one Masters in Agricultural Economics from Bangladesh, and another in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia in UK. He studied at MSU under the Borlaug Higher Education for Agricultural Research and Development (BHEARD) Program.
