Robert Saxton
Robert Saxton is a full-time instructor at MSU’s Institute for Food Laws and Regulations and a practicing attorney. He comes to IFLR with a deep understanding of education theory and best practices, and over 25 years of teaching experience.
Mr. Saxton earned his law degree at Michigan State University’s College of Law. He holds a master’s degree in education, a Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Arts, all from the University of Michigan.
As a former high school science teacher, Mr. Saxton is passionate about teaching, and helping students learn and apply science and law to their professional lives.
Mr. Saxton teaches the following courses:
- USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) Food Law (FSC 890, Section 005)
- International Food Standards, Codex Alimentarius (FSC 816, Section 730)
- IFLR’s undergraduate course, FSC 421: Food Laws and Regulations
