Shayna is a Masters student in CSUS who also works with the Institute of Water Research at MSU. There she works on various projects related to water and communities. Her undergraduate degree is from Ithaca College in Theatre and Anthropology, and her goal for graduate school is to transition into a career where she can be involved in change. She has a passion for protecting and conserving the Great Lakes as a result of many years spent on the water. She races sailboats in the Detroit sailing community out of Bayview Yacht Club. She enjoys traveling and has visited and lived in several countries, including Israel. After graduation, Shayna would like to work with the government on creating and implementing policies related to freshwater resources.
