Scholarships

Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences

The Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences has scholarships available each year for sophomores, juniors, and seniors based on GPA. Scholarships range from $1000 to $4000 per student and one-half of the scholarship is awarded each semester.  The Department sends an electronic application form to all existing Crops and Soil Science (CSS) students in Feburary.

Crops and Soil Science Student Undergraduate Student Scholarships.

Several Scholarships - Open to Crops and Soil Science students having completed 15 credits of study at MSU.

External scholarships:

American Society of Agronomy Outstanding Senior Award

Open to undergraduate students in their senior year of studies who are members of the Spartan Agronomy Club.
Application Due Date: March 15

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) Scholarships

Open to newly admitted students and students of all levels affiliated with programs in the CANR.
Application Deadline: March 1

GIE Horticultural Scholarship

The Richard Foster Award is available to outstanding students majoring in agronomy or turfgrass management and who are planning careers in the landscape, lawn care or horticulture business.
Application Deadline: June 21

James and Donna Kells Scholarship for Undergraduate Study Abroad.

Scholarships are available to Undergraduate students majoring in Crops and Soil Sciences, to support participation in CANR Sponsored Study Abroad Programs.
