Tribal Food Producer Information Session: Requirements of Packaged Food Products – September 10, 2025

The Great Lakes Intertribal Food Coalition and Great Lakes Midwest Regional Food Business Center hosted the final Tribal Food Producer Session on September 10, 2025. During this session, Jen Falck (Oneida Nation) and Stephanie Dodge (Oneida Nation) of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin’s Department of Agriculture and Food Systems showcased resources available for Tribal producers. They joined Jamie Rahrig and Jazmin Bolan-Williamson, both of Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems, who explored what is needed for labeling, packaging, and marketing a food product.

Per the USDA announcement on July 15, 2025, the Regional Food Business Centers program was terminated, prior to its original end date of July 2028. Because of this, the Great Lakes Midwest Regional Food Business Center will halt operations on September 15, 2025. Please see our related press release.
