4-H Scholarships
Shiawassee County 4-H Council Educational Workshop, Trip, or Event Scholarship
Shiawassee County 4-H Council generously offers to provide financial support to Shiawassee County 4-H members and volunteers attending 4-H educational workshops, trips, and events or opportunities that enhance their role in 4-H. Funds to support these scholarships are mostly generate through the 4-H Food Stand. This scholarship is open, year-round and must be submitted by the member at least one month before the event happens.

Shiawassee County 4-H Council Senior Scholarship
The Shiawassee County 4-H Council will present three scholarships of $500.00 each to young adults who are currently members of a Shiawassee County 4-H club. The scholarship is designed to help youth further their education and pursue a career of their choosing after high school. The scholarship can be used to attend any 4-year institution, 2-year college, or trade/technical school of the member's choice.
Shiawassee County Junior Livestock Association Senior Scholarship
The Shiawassee County Junior Livestock Association (JLA) Scholarship is available to high school seniors and college freshmen who are current Shiawassee County 4-H members and have shown large market animals at the Shiawassee County Fair. Recipients will be selected by the JLA Awards Committee and announced at the Shiawassee County Fair. Scholarship funds are awarded upon college or trade school enrollment.
2025 Junior Livestock Scholarship
Shiawassee County 4-H Dairy Scholarship
The 4-H Dairy Programming Committee will present scholarships to young adults who are currently enrolled in a Shiawassee County 4-H Dairy club or those who have previously received a 4-H Dairy Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to help youth further their education or pursue a career of their choosing after high school. The scholarship can be used to pursue higher education, a trade school, or a career.

Shiawassee County 4-H Horse Leaders Scholarship
The Shiawassee County 4-H Horse Leaders offers scholarships to current 4-H members who are seniors in high school or current college students. Applicants may only receive the scholarship one. Applications will be reviewed by the Shiawassee County Horse Leaders. The scholarship recipient will be notified during the Shiawassee County Fair.

Shiawassee County Small Animal Association Senior Scholarship
The Shiawassee County Small Animal Association (SCSAA) will present 1 to 4 scholarships to eligible recipients. The award amount will be at least $250 to each youth who is currently showing at the Shiawassee county Fair as a small animal exhibitor under a 4-H club. (The award amounts will be at the committee's discretion.)
The scholarship is designed to help youth further their education and pursue a career of their choosing after high school. The scholarship can be used to attend any 4-year institution, 2-year college or trade school of the member's choice. This scholarship is not based on a minimum GPA nor is it income based. It is a non-renewable award.
Awards Applications
Shiawassee County 4-H Awards Application
The Shiawassee County 4-H Council provides members with the chance to apply for a variety of awards and recognition opportunities. Youth can apply for project pins and year pins by sharing why they are deserving of the award. Members may also indicate interest in applying for the Michigan Key Club Award or the “I Dare You” Award, with separate applications provided for those opportunities. In addition, youth can request more information about serving as a 4-H Council Teen Representative, becoming a 4-H Camp Counselor, or applying for the 4-H Mark of Excellence Award and State 4-H Awards.

Shiawassee County 4-H Cloverbud Pin Application
The Shiawassee County 4-H Council offers Cloverbuds (ages 5–7) the chance to apply for a Cloverbud Pin in recognition of their hard work during the past 4-H year. This special pin may only be awarded once during a member’s Cloverbud years.

Shiawassee County Agricultural Society Scholarship
The purpose of the Shiawassee County Agricultural Society Scholar is to encourage and support youth exhibitors in furthering their education. One $500 scholarship will be awarded. The scholarship is open to all active youth who are in their senior year of high school and have exhibited at the Shiawassee County Fair for a minimum of four years.

Frank J. Corrin Legacy Scholarship
The purpose of the Frank J. Corrin Legacy Scholarship is to encourage and support FFA and 4-H members in furthering their education. The scholarship is open to all active youth, FFA or 4-H members who are in their senior year of high school in Shiawassee County. The student must have exhibited at the Shiawassee County Fair for a minimum of four years.

Shiawassee County Friends of the Fair - Gene and Sharon Maynard Scholarship
Shiawassee County Friends of the Fair - Gene and Sharon Maynard Fund (SCFoF) will present a scholarship of at least $500 to an active youth, member of a Shiawassee County 4-H Club or a member of a FFA Chapter (this award may be split at the committee's discretion). The scholarship is designed to help further their education and pursue a career of their choosing after high school. The scholarship can be sued to attend any 4-year institution, 2-year college or trade school of the member's choice. This scholarship is not based on a minimum GPA nor is it income based. It is a non-renewable award.
2025 Gene and Sharon Maynard Scholarship
David R. White Character Award
Shiawassee County Friends of the Fair - David R. White Character Award will present an award of at least $750 to a serving youth adult. This award is in celebration of David R. White and his belief that a persons character is everything.
The award is designed to assist youth to add the benefits of higher education to their demonstrated good character. The award can be used to attend any 2 or 4-year college or trade school of their choosing. This award is NOT based on a minimum GPA or income levels.
