2026 Munising 4-H Baseball & Softball Registration
 
Registration for the 2026 season is open from March 6 to April 6, 2026. Please note that no enrollments will be accepted after the April 6 deadline. Players of all ability levels are welcome from ages 5 (on Jan. 1, 2026) through 14 (entering 9th grade in the fall). While we are named the Munising 4-H Baseball & Softball Club, our program is open to all youth in the area. We welcomed players from AuTrain and Chatham last year and look forward to including even more families from across the county this season! The club's name was originally chosen in anticipation of other county teams joining; however, our board remains committed to providing a welcoming environment for everyone and will consider a name change as our regional enrollment continues to grow.
 
Season Schedule & Timing
  • Start Date: Practices are scheduled to begin in May 2026.
  • Season Duration: The 6-week season kicks off in late May and runs through the end of June, with the majority of games packed into the month of June.
  • Game Days: While the final schedule depends on team counts, last year’s games for Minors, Majors, and Juniors were held on Monday through Thursday evenings.
  • Practice Schedules: Specific practice days and times are determined by coaches based on their availability. You can expect your coach to contact you with these details once teams are finalized in early May.
 
Registration Fees & Equipment
  • T-Ball: $20
  • Minors, Majors, & Girls Softball: $35
  • Juniors: $40
  • Family Discount: For 3+ players, pay only the two highest fees; additional siblings are free.
  • Included: Team jersey and hat.
  • Families provide: Non-metal cleats, socks, and black pants (T-ball may wear any pants).

How to Register (2-Step Process)
Your registration is not complete until both steps are finished. 
 
STEP 1: Register in 4-H Online
Go to v2.4Honline.com and choose the situation that applies:
  • Current 4-H Members: Log in, open the member profile, click "Clubs," then "Add." Select Alger County and Munising 4-H Baseball and Softball Club. 
  • Returning 4-H Members (Inactive): Log in and click "Enroll Now" next to the member's name. Select Munising 4-H Baseball and Softball Club and choose your project (t-ball, baseball, softball, or umpire).
  • New 4-H Members: Click "Don't have an account?" Select Michigan and Alger County. Create your account and profile. When prompted, select "I want to join Michigan 4-H" and add the Munising 4-H Baseball and Softball Club and your specific project (t-ball, baseball, softball, or umpire).
 
STEP 2: Submit Payment & Shirt Size
Payment must include Player Name(s) and Shirt Size(s).
Checks should be made out to: Munising 4-H Baseball and Softball Club.
  • Mail/Drop-off: MSU Extension, E9526 Prospect Street, Suite 1, Munising, MI 49862.
  • Office hours: 8 AM – 4 PM; call ahead. 
  • In-Person: At the registration event on March 24.
 

Volunteer Requirements & Screening
To ensure a safe environment for our youth, all adults wishing to assist with the program, including those helping at practices on an as-needed basis, must complete the MSU Extension/Michigan 4-H volunteer screening process.
  • Apply Online: Interested volunteers can begin the application at msu.samaritan.com.
  • In-Person Screening: Please call the office at (906) 387-2530 to schedule an appointment.
