Ronnie Miller (she/her)
Co-director
Sharron "Ronnie" Miller is interested in increasing representation and resources in STEM. She's a PhD student in the Pollination Ecology lab at MSU and is studying bumble bee communities across human altered landscapes in Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling photography and playing games. Ronnie was a 2023 EROF mentor, joined the committee in Spring 2024, and became the program lead in Fall 2024.
DeShae Dillard (he/him)
Co-director
DeShae Dillard is an Entomology and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior Ph.D. Student at Michigan State University focused on understanding how agricultural management influences biodiversity and insect-mediated ecosystem services. He has served as an EROF mentor since 2023 and joined as a co-director in Spring 2024. As a first-time parent, DeShae is currently spending all of his free time deep in childcare, rereading childhood classics like The Lorax.
Heather Lenartson-Kluge (she/her/hers)
Administrative support
Heather is the Graduate Program Assistant and Assistant to the Chairperson in the Department of Entomology. She has been with the department for nearly 29 years, and enjoys assisting graduate students while they navigate being in graduate school. Heather began assisting EROF in 2024.
Heather has two kitties, Betty Lou and Pork Chop. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband David, watch cooking shows, and is a big fan of horror movies.
Hannah Burrack (she/her/hers)
Administrative support
Hannah Burrack is an applied ecologist with a focus on integrated pest management (IPM) in specialty crops. As department chairperson, Burrack serves as chief academic and administrative officer of the department and provides leadership in developing, budgeting and administering teaching, research, extension/outreach and international activities. She began supporting EROF in 2024. When not working, Burrack enjoys spending time with her two daughters, making art, and searching for the best croissant in mid Michigan.
