Awards & Recognition

Recognition of faculty achievement is an important part of the mentoring process. Mentees are encouraged to work with their mentors to identify opportunities for internal and external awards. These awards can enhance professional visibility, support promotion and contribute to a positive mentoring culture.

Award programs are listed on the CANR Faculty & Staff Awards page. Individuals are also encouraged to check for opportunities at the unit level, in addition to university-wide awards, as many departments and schools have their own recognition programs. Mentors may also serve as sponsors by writing nomination letters, facilitating networking and helping mentees gain visibility within the university and broader academic community.
