All youth have sparks! Sparks can shine brightly or dimly, depending on how they are supported. The 4-H Thriving Model illustrates the process of positive youth development in 4-H programs by connecting high quality program settings to the promotion of youth thriving. High quality 4-H program settings provide youth a place to belong, matter, and explore their personal spark. This two-part session will allow you to learn through hands-on activities and how the 4-H Thriving Model can help improve your programming for youth and volunteers.

Optional watch party for the NAE4-HYDP Conference Positive Youth Development (PYD) Spotlight Day: Beyond Ready to Thrive features Dr. Richard Lerner and Dr. Jacqueline Lerner, researchers who lead the Tuft’s Study of positive youth development.
