“The Center for Regional Food Systems has been a lifeline for my farm. Before their support, I applied for 30 grants without success, but with their technical assistance, I secured funding for two grants last year. This organization has been instrumental in helping me remain grounded, focused, and empowered to access the resources I need to grow.” — Michigan Farm Business Owner
Your gift will help us support communities to realize their own food system visions.
By giving to the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems, you are helping us grow our impact through:
- Helping childcare sites, schools, hospitals, and other institutions source and serve more Michigan-grown foods in their food service programs.
- Building our support for food and farm business owners to navigate available business assistance, which allows them to grow their businesses, create good jobs, and get more locally grown and produced food to their communities.
- Supporting community leaders to collaborate and build power around shared issues.
- Developing resources and programs that deepen understanding of how racism in the food system is historic, ongoing, and systemic, and use that understanding to transform our food systems so that they are sustainable, accessible, and equitable to all.
Making a gift to the Center for Regional Food Systems’ general fund supports the operations and activities that make our work possible.
