FW Excellence Award

The Department of Fisheries and Wildlife Excellence Award was established in 2021 to recognize contributions in any area related to the department’s mission and vision, including but not limited to teaching; outreach; research; culture, access, and belonging; mentoring; academic support; leadership; and service (to the department, college, university, professional societies and/or public).

Call for Nominations

All individuals having an affiliation with the department by appointment (this includes all faculty, fixed-term employees, research associates, staff, and on-call and temporary employees) or student status (all FW graduate students and undergraduate majors – through FW and LBS) are eligible for nomination. Previous awardees are eligible for nomination. The Department Chair is not eligible for consideration.

The call for nominations is currently OPEN. Nominations are due by 5 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026.
