Project Summary
The Watershed Management Certification Program is an online educational program offered through a partnership between the Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA) and the Institute of Water Research (IWR) at Michigan State University (MSU). The program provides interdisciplinary training in watershed management by integrating topics such as engineering, hydrology, biology, policy, planning, economics, and environmental science. It is designed for professionals, researchers, engineers, policymakers, and others involved in water resource management. Through flexible, self-paced courses, participants gain practical knowledge and skills to address watershed challenges and improve their professional expertise. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certification and a one-year complimentary MWEA membership, supporting continued professional development in watershed management.
