Carrie Shrier
Carrie Shrier is a Michigan State University Extension educator specializing in child and family development. Carrie provides in-person and virtual training for early childhood educators, caregivers and parents on a variety of topics including school readiness, positive parenting strategies and more. She also works with the Michigan Vaccine Project (MVP) grant providing support to family and youth focused education and social media campaigns. Additionally, Carrie serves as the liaison with Detroit Public Television, helping to connect the resources of the university with the television station and vice versa. She has a statewide assignment supporting Michigan families. Prior to working with MSU Extension, Carrie worked as a preschool teacher and child care center director. Carrie has a Bachelors of Science from Michigan State University in Child Development and is a certified Child Passenger Safety Instructor.
