Mark is a Research Associate working on the overabundance of white-tailed deer in Michigan. Working in the Belant lab, he is producing a white paper that will inform the DNR on deer management methods. He previously studied wetland use of ducks and waterbirds in Michigan.  Mark received his Ph.D. in Ecology from Utah State University in December of 2022 where his dissertation focused on the nest-site selection, success and response to predators by ducks in the wetlands of Great Salt Lake, Utah. Mark received his B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Management from Utah State University in 2018.
