Peter Butchko
Pete was a wildlife biologist for USDA – Wildlife Services from 1977 until his retirement in 2015, focusing on assisting in a wide variety of situations where wildlife caused problems. In his 38 years of service, he worked in Ohio, California, Mississippi, and the last 18 years as the State Director for Wildlife Services in Michigan. Projects of particular interest to him involved protecting agriculture, enhancing aviation safety, addressing wildlife diseases, and improving valuable fisheries and wildlife populations. He also has a keen interest in helping students get started in their fisheries and wildlife career.
