Background:

Dr. Riley is an emeritus professor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. Previously he was Parish Storrs Lovejoy Professor of Wildlife Management and a scientist in the Partnership for Ecosystem Research and Management sponsored by Michigan's Department of Natural Resources. During 2009-2010, Dr. Riley served as a Senior Fulbright Fellow to Sweden, and during 2022-2023 he was a Fulbright Specialist at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Umeå. Dr. Riley is retired from new research and teaching endeavors although he is still actively involved in consulting and writing while serving on several committees with The Wildlife Society.
