Steven M. Gray, Ph.D.
Background
I joined the U.S. Geological Survey's Michigan Fish & Wildlife Cooperative Research Unit as Assistant Unit Leader in 2024. Our unit was established in 2023 and is housed in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University. Broadly, we seek to conduct research that addresses conservation and management challenges identified by our primary cooperators, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Additionally, we provide training and mentorship through graduate research and teaching. My training is primarily as a spatial/landscape ecologist conducting applied research on a variety of taxa.
