Background:

Allie is originally from St. Paul, MN and received her B.S. in Wildlife Ecology with certificates in Environmental Studies and Global Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As an undergraduate, Allie conducted research in a wide range of labs, from agroecology and animal sciences to wildlife disease and human health. She completed a manuscript examining prairie strips as a viable management tool in agroecosystems, and upon graduating, moved to Montana to develop a novel monitoring protocol for stream restoration in the Northern Great Plains.

Research:

Allie is now pursuing her M.S. degree in Fisheries and Wildlife where she is co-advised by Drs. Steven Gray and Brett Collier. Working alongside the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, her research will focus on capturing waterfowl productivity in rural and urban areas of Michigan with remote sensing technology. Her results will contribute to ongoing efforts to inform waterfowl management in the greater Michigan area.
