Strengthening Evidence for Nature, Place, and Health
Nature, green space, and neighborhood environments shape health in ways that are powerful but difficult to isolate. Understanding how these environments affect health can guide interventions that support healthier and more equitable communities. In this seminar, I will describe my research program on parks, housing, food access, and other place-based conditions that contribute to health in populations facing heightened vulnerability, and show how longitudinal data, natural experiments, and community-engaged partnerships can strengthen causal evidence.
