Canola Research and Extension Priorities
Provided by the Michigan Forever Green Field Crops Group
General research and extension activities that create and disseminate information for growers interested in incorporating canola into their crop rotations. Emphasis on the following areas is encouraged:
- Weed management, including in-season management and avoidance of herbicide carryover in crop rotations that incorporate canola. Herbicide tolerant canola options.
- Nutrient management
- Disease management
- General agronomy and management of crop rotations
- Harvesting and postharvest management
- Marketing of the canola crop
